Nelly Was Arrested For Drug Possession

 

Nelly was arrested in the St. Louis area on drug possession and traffic charges.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Gaming Division stopped the rapper at the Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights for routine identification verification.   

A subsequent search of Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Haynes II, allegedly uncovered four ecstasy pills. In addition to the drug charge, he was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to obtain car insurance.   

The St. Louis rapper was booked at the Maryland Heights Police Department and has since been released.
